Description

Its not really an issue, is more an request. Who didn't get annoyed by players who are logging out in combat situation, or try to sneak around you by jumping on another server to pass around you and rejoin on another position, maybe right behind you on 'your' server.

This is my proposal for a solution:

1st step, the ability to create an ingame-group
how to:

  • in the main menu you have a button (maybe right under character) called group
  • in the group menu you can define your groupcharacteristics, by:
  • setting up a groupname
  • insert a logo (a picture what appears on ingame apparel and or backpacks, later vehicles and boxes or other stuff too)
  • a list of this players you have added to your group
  • an invite button, where you can search players you have met ingame and you might play more often with

after that you can create your group, maybe with a create button or some like that, and the game will create an unique ingamekey for your group and its members of the list above. A server will recognize this ingametag of your group and sees automatically that these players belong together.

2nd step, the server will block the log out option when players in a pre-defined radius (of maybe several hundred meters) of eachother. Exception, they're all flagged with the same groupkey.

Example1:
Player 1 and Player 2 dont know eachother and they met on the map and start a fight. They're within a distance of, lets say 400m, of eachother. They're unable to log out and have to make a way out of this situation by killing eachother or evading from this situation, to a safe location and log out there.

Example2:
Player 1 and Player 2 are friends and had created and joined the same group (so they're flagged with the same groupkey). They're strolling around Chernaurus and after a few hours Player 2 decides to leave. He can log out, because the server recognize the same groupkey and enables the log out option.

I think by creating this you have to make deciscions to get out a situation ingame, by surrender, escape, dying or killing eachother or even talk your way out of it, because you're not able to leave the scene quietly.

I dont know how diffcult it is to code or if there are any issues from the server side, but i think it must be possible to create something like that and it would make a great game even better because you can't steal yourself away anymore.
