To give team a better identification and make the Char more unique:
If you split a T-Shirt into Rags it Should create a coloured rag (same as Shirt)
You can bind those to your Head/Headgear or Arm.

I guess the "combine rags" receipt will be difficult with colourful rags.
To avoid this here are some solutions:
The action "coil around Arm/Head" will be possible with dragging and drop the (complete) Shirt onto your head/arm.
The action "coil around Helmet" will be possible with dragging and drop the (complete) shirt onto your Helmet in the inventory.

That would avoid the "combine rags" problem, because you use the complete T-Shirt (which obviously has a colour)
