I think it would be absolutely brilliant to have some sort of stronghold that can be built in game. Basically I'd like to see some impenetrable building/ cave/ enclosure in which we'd be 'safe'. Perhaps have combination locks that could be employed to prevent the possibility of keys being stolen. This way, friends could be permitted entry via knowing the combination and the stronghold would only be vulnerable during the actual entry process. It would allow us to store more items than we can carry and hence a greater incentive to play the game. Right now, once I have all the items I could want- my incentive is to NOT play. Why would I want to endanger all my hard work getting all the stuff I need to be killed by overpowered zombies, bandits and glitches?
If I had a stronghold, I could go out on loot runs and bring things back to store and/ or share with my friends. Plus, if I did happen to die, I'd have a cache of items stored for just such contingencies making the pain of death slightly less difficult (as well as increasing the efficacy of the hard work that comprises most of the time playing DAYZ).
