I have a issue where I can't do simple function like attack. I can't seem to get it to work, I tried setting different keys to the function but nothing works(doesn't matter what key applied).

I reinstalled the game multiple times thinking the game got corrupted while downloading. no positive results. This really suck because I bought this game thinking I can at least play but I can't do anything if I can't defend myself. I've sent a ticket addressing the issues to DAYZ standalone official website no reply and its been a 2 weeks. I also googled to see if someone else is experiencing this issue and found a solution, I found only a few people with the same issue and even made post but no solution.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, the primary attack function doesn't work at all it doesn't matter what I use weapon or my hands.

Have you just started playing or has this problem just started randomly? I don't want to be patronising if you already know how to play, but have you raised your hands/weapon before trying to attack? The default button is spacebar to raise your hands/weapon into the attack position.

duh. Thanks, I guess that was it. I didn't know it was a ready function in order to attack.

SleeplessCpt, could you confirm that not having your hands raised was the issue?
You said no weapon would work, but melee weapons like the baseball bat or axe should not need to be raised to attack on 0.35
