Corsair 1500 USB Headset audio cuts out when using 5.1 or 7.1 audio source
New, WishlistPublic

Description

When playing the game and having my Corsair 1500 USB Headset configured to be receiving 5.1 or 7.1 channel audio from the game the game audio will totally drop out. I hear a momentary static, followed by the Windows device disconnect and reconnect sound. System audio returns. I can hear people and be heard in Teamspeak, but I get no audio from game. This is to be expected since the game has lost connection to the audio driver. Restarting the game fixes the problem until it happens again after several minutes. It has been occurring for the last couple versions on experimental. I am not sure if the problem is currently happening also on stable branch or not.

Setting my audio source to stereo in my Corsair control panel allows the game to produce sounds correctly and does not produce the audio system failure. This is the only game in which this happens on my system, hence, something in DayZ is not compatible with 5.1 output settings. This may or may not be fixable, but it should at least be brought to the attention of a dev team member. Screenshots are attached below for reference, along with system DXDiag info and RPT file.
