I read a post about this the other day and noticed a report was not submitted.

If you take a handgun or shotgun from you bag or clothes and place it into your hands to use, the hand icon is placed over it in your bag while it still stays there. The problem is that if you are shot wherever that gun is being kept, the gun takes the damage still. It makes no sense to ruin a Magnum when your shot in the legs, even though the gun is equipped to your hands.

No matter what the item, when it is equipped to your hands, it should leave your inventory and be registered only in your hands.
