I had a similar thing happen. It seems to be due to the lag that occurs when players get near each other. It only happens if they are geared up or something, because on the coast it's not so bad when 10 people are in a naked fist fight.

high blood level, high health level, lots of pristine items, tactical vest.. yup absolutely possible. game characters are not as weak as you may think. which is awesome because it actually can save your life from scum backstabbers like you. :P
