Description

I have searched on the forums, but I didn't find a report similar to my problem. I basically get a random crash, where I can do nothing other thant ctrl+alt+del and forceclose through task manager. Where my problem differs is that I don't get real fps drops or extreme high temps on my gpu. I have tried:

assigning only two cores via task manager
preventing DEP shutdown
reinstalling dayz
reinstalling nvidia drivers
adjusting graphics from high to low and in between
deleting supposedly bad windows updates
deleting BattleEye folder in appdata
unplugging second screen

My Rig:

Asus P5Q SE2 MB
q6600 core 2 duo @2.4GHz
msi nvidia geforce gtx 560ti

Steps To Reproduce

1Start Dayz
2Play for 30-50 minutes with steady fps
3Get frozen screen shortly after two short hiccups, similar to lag
4ctrl+alt+del-->taskmanager
5error message "Dayz stopped working"

When I rejoin, my character is intact but somehow various gear is ruined (pips,food, sunglasses). Also I tend to respawn further up ahead than where the freeze appeared. as if I ran on after the freeze

Hi Kira,

Thank you for the response. Due to possible irrational behaviour towards DayZ because of this error, I have not played since reporting the issue. Will try again this afternoon en post an update!
