I got killed earlier today and afterwards I decided to take a break from the game as I had been playing since 4:30 in the morning. When I came back and decided to give it another go, every time I try to join a server, all I get is a black screen that says Please wait... in the center of the screen and the message testing 1 2 3 shows up in the lower left hand corner. This happens every time I try to join a server.

Well, then I have no clue what's going on with my game. I know right now the servers are down for maintenance but before they took them down, I couldn't get into any server. It just stayed on a black screen that said Please wait... and I waited...and waited...and waited, but nothing ever happened.

It is a server message confirming connectivity.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. In case you still need help spawning, just send me a pm with your Steam ID url, and I'll look into it. Example: "http://steamcommunity.com/id/xxxxxxxxxx/"
Also, please let me know if your character is on a Regular/Hardcore server.
In order to send a private message, you can click the "Make Private" button to the left of your message after you click the button labeled "Add Note".
