My characters leg was broken when I walked into a bed upstairs at one of the airfield military bases.

The screen flashed white for a second and my character screamed. I was then unable to stand up and walk, only crawl. There was no status in my inventory to say that my leg was broken.

The broken leg was fixed when my friend injected me with morphine.
