If you break a leg and logout the server before you fix it, you will spawn freshly at the coast (without your previous gear of course) when you log back in or onto another server.
<b>This is just a theory.</b> I don't really want to test it with my current character, but this happened to me the last time, I logged out with a broken leg.
1.) Make sure, you are no fresh spawn, in order to tell whether you were reset.
2.) Break a leg (...somehow).
3.) Log out and login again (or switch server, not sure).
4.) Be upset about spawning at the coast and having lost all your gear!
5.) Remind yourself, this is an Alpha and calm down again. :-)
