When you log off having a M4 in your hands and a Mosin on your back renders the M4 invisible and nonexistent in inventory, that is until you change your weapon to the Axe (for example) or put another item in your hands.
The M4 is then placed on the ground before you (with a slight delay) as if you would try to climb a ladder.

Steps To Reproduce
Put second Rifle in your hands, log off.
Log on, put any item from inventory in your hands, second rifle appears on ground before you.

The weapon which was in your hand upon logout is not actually invisible. You can still find it in your inventory at the very bottom. You can still take it into your hands if you've got it in your action bar.
