I've been noticing that the SKS, which fires a fairly potent round, is really dodgy at the moment in terms of damage. I tested it out with a friend and one shot KO'd him with a shot to the gut.
Later, I was in a firefight with someone trying to axe me, and I put three rounds in his chest. He started sprinting around me, trying to dodge more fire. I clearly hit him because he was leaking blood everywhere, and I know at least two of the shots were dead on center mass because he was running directly at me. I was lined up and everything (then he hit me with the axe and I had to start circle strafing fire at him).
All in all, I emptied all 10 rounds at him. Again, I know at LEAST 3 of the rounds hit him and he was still running around. I don't know how many other times I hit him, but I know the last shot got him in the head and he went down.
Another time I was looting an area and someone shot me twice in the back with the SKS. I quickly reacted by strafing behind cover and I heard the guy go over direct communication "What the fuck, I shot this dude twice in the back, point blank". My screen was fuzzy and I was bleeding, but I still managed to pop over and drop him with a single shot from an M4 before passing out from blood loss (and subsequently being executed by his friend around the corner)
So please, look into the SKS. It holds 10 rounds, is not very easy to reload without clips, and while accurate, seems to be doing some very weird damage. Note that it's also incredibly hard to hit people in this game because of desync, animation glitches and general clunky movement. So when someone is running all over making instant 90 degree turns and running as fast as a car, this needs to be addressed.
