last time I logged in my name was different ( half of it as gone) my self as well as a few friends have had our names changed. my friends name changed completely. to home boy with some numbers.

it only changed one time ( the update that added shot guns).
is there going to be a place where u can type your characters name (perhaps where u create what your person looks like ?)

With that last update, character's name was changed from Steam name to computer's name. All you have to do is launch DayZ and in main menu click on your character's name. It will become active and you can change it to whatever you like.
