Every time I load the game all my settings are reset to standard.
This basically includes everything. Resolution quality etc. I have to re configure it every time I go into the game.

I have a GTX670 overclocked and an intel 3570k stock. Running windows 8. I use EVGA to overclock the GPU and I have GeForce Experience but I do not think that I have used it to optimize DayZ.
If it makes any difference I have two DayZ folders located in my documents (dayz and dayz other profiles) the actual physical location of my documents in on my file server.

I got the same problem, thought i was the only one. When i restart the game, all my custom settings goes back to default, even the character.
I hope this problem will be fixed ASAP.

Approved. On 0.49 when I restart my laptop while playing game, settings get reseted back to default.
