So my DayZ crashed to desktop and when I restarted the game I had been teleported to inside the walls of a school building and I'm stuck, unable to get out.

Stand (not moving) in front of a wall, press the vault key V once while facing the wall and disconnect while you see your character step through the wall. Reconnect and you're out.
