Getting above error on most of the servers I'm trying to log in to. I find most of the servers hosted by Fragnet.net and Gameservers.com trigger this error. After selecting the server to join, it will go to the "joining" screen, and after about 5-10 seconds I get the error.
A lot of other servers just give me a message 'wait for host' and I give up after a few minutes.
I have tried disabling my virusscanner ( !Avast ). Also reset my modem/router, and added safe port 2302 UDP ( as needed for Arma 2 ). Also verified game files through Steam.
Apparantly, my modem ( from my ISP ) has a built-in firewall ( SPI firewall - Cisco Gateway Router ) which has to be turned off to be able to log into all servers...
I dont want to connect to empty servers, I want to connect to servers to join friends.. In the end, I have to try 20 servers to find one to connect to, and they have to join me...
A lot of empty servers have this issue yes. Try to connect to a server with 1 player if you try to loot on empty servers.
