In the first weeks of playing I always saw my character in my game's ''home'' (don't know the correct term) screen. Since a while it has been gone and replaced by a grey background or sometimes some weird textures.

Unfortunately, ArmA launch parameters are all we have so far. I'd be glad, if somebody published a list of available DayZ launch parameters.
But since most of the ArmA ones still apply, I don't believe that's gonna happen soon.
Should have to do with the launch parameter "-world=empty"
I never used the experimental builts. Yet, every start my screen looks the exact same as in the attached screenshot, independent from anything else.
