Description

I think it's extremely unbalanced how a player is able to knock out someone with a single lucky punch (not 10 punches, just one), but some people think this is actually balanced because it allows fresh spawns to be an actual threat to other players.

Well, the thing is, this time I was knocked out after being punched a few (not many) times while using a motorcycle helmet (not the military one that offers less face protection), so that really shows how unbalanced punches are.

This feature of rendering a person unconscious should really be balanced in the future. If punches are too weak, the devs should raise the base damage or, alternatively, punches should only have a chance to knock out someone if a person was punched a minimum amount of times (or punched from behind or something).

The luck factor should be removed so to makes things less unfair, otherwise there will be almost no more interactions between people who don't know each other in this game since geared players won't even risk allowing a naked fresh spawn to approach them anymore.

I think for balancing and realism, it should be lowered. Sure a knock out is possible, but way more possible that I'd dodge it. That said, they should add a dodge or block sometime if they're not going to reduce the power.

A punch from behind, should be a knock out though.

It´s annoying like it is. Wouldn´t have a problem with it if every weapon could knock you out with the first hit but the fists? You don´t need any of the melee weapons expect an axe. Why not removing all other melee weapons and give us more zombies instead?

End game gear doesn't keep you alive by itself. Let the geared bambis get KOed by fresh players. It's fine how it is.

idk if i agree with this, having been the one who knocked someone out. he walked right up to me with an axe, and didnt attack. so i punched him in the face, stole all of his stuff, and shot him (with his own gun). I think the knock out power is pretty sweet.

I agree that punch knockout should be reduced to where you need 2+ head hits from the front to be knocked out.

However 1 hit should be enough from the back of the head.

why the hell do you let people punch you? Abd why are you stationary enough for them to punch you in the face? Even if a guy is friendly and i'm talking to him i'm never standing still. You know you can knocked out but you still fall for it?

They should make it knock you to the ground (aka forced prone) when hit rather than knocked out. And if there is a knock out chance it should be very low.

The current iteration of melee damage is not the final version and will be reworked/balanced by the dev team as the project comes along.
