We noticed it also happens heavily when a server has recently restarted.

Dunno about "mainly" because me and most people I know personally(who has experienced this issue)have great to atleast decent dl speeds.

I've got 100Mb dl speed on a fiber connection and I can experience this on a close to empty server with only 1 or 2 other players close to me.

This problem occurs mainly when your download speed is too low. (Many ISP give you a much smaller bandwidth than stated in ads. It can also be lower in the evenings).

Dayz has somehow an immense download bandwidth. If I am alone it is around 100kbit/s. When other players get close it easily gets to over 800kbit/s or more.

Can attest to this issue. It seems as though the game client is just not receiving data from the server. Other players can see you moving about but on my own screen they are standing still in the position they where in when the problem started. Still experiencing it after the 32.114557 update. Seemed to happen when my friend was near by and resolved after relogging once he had left the area. After moving into his vicinity again the issue returned. I have other friends experiencing this issue too. Each with different hardware, game settings and internet connections (some with more than double my line speed). I must note that this does not happen every time. I have been in areas with at least 3 other players and have not experienced this issue.

Also, if I may, I think the people arguing over whether this is an issue or not should probably just give it a rest and devs decide if this is a real issue or not.

I think the dayz team needs to communicate if this is just a coding issue, or hoster issue.. anyhow they need to look into this asap

People say their experience, "game started bugging when another player who was bugging came to me" etc. This is perfectly possible in an alpha game.
If this was a finished, fully tested game, then i would say it is client side. But it is pretty obvious that the coders introduced a new bug or the intended fixes didn't fix anything. It could be all sorts of reasons, due to the randomness of bugs.

Same issue here, but I get it on any server from the moment I join. This NEEDS to be fixed, it's absolutely ruining the game for many people.

it doesn't just happen to people with lower than 10mbps DL, I have a higher connection speed than my friend who isn't affected by the issue, he actually only has a 3mbps connection speed, whereas i have a 50mb~ connection, he can function perfectly fine within the game except for when his actual internet frequently cuts out, but that is because of a physical connection stability issue, not because of a in-game issue. It really does seem random at the moment as we cannot determine what separates the affected vs the unaffected.

Oh and I got killed because of this issue today by bandits that were sliding across my screen but weren't actually where the game was saying they were.

Things you can try to make the experience better: pause the game, and set the priority for the game in task manager to high or above normal. You could also use the properties tag by right clicking on the game icon and set it to run at a higher priority automatically when you launch it. Setting a higher priority will prioritize processor time for your game by giving it the first crack at resources.

I had my first experience of this last night while i was playing with a group of about 5 or 6 friends.
It seems as some say that it only happens when you're close enough to a certain player but I don't want to play on other servers since it ruins a huge part of the game for me if I can't play with my friends.

I have a 100/10 fiber connection and haven't experienced anything like this in any game including DayZ SA until yesterday so it seems as if it some change ingame is the reason.

But if you put this into perspective. I'm able to play BF4 with 128 people, without lag.
Able to play Just Cause 2 Multiplayer, with 5000 people. No lag.

But ~ 10 players on DayZ, unplayable lag.

I've gotten this problem too, however my internet speeds and ping are quite good.
Down: 16mb/s
Ping to most UK based servers: 12-18

No Idea whats going on...

This is ridiculous..
It's happening more and more.
I've even requested a new router (worth £160)

I'm physically unable to play this game due to the lag.

FIX IT DEV TEAM! - We need more freq updates.

Makes the game unplayable for me.
Most of the time by now the problem could be fixed by relogging.
But the new Anti-Server-Hopping-Timer "destroyed" this possibility.
The Timer shouldn't be active if you log out and back in on the same server.
