Two players cannot connect to same server on same Internet connection
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Two players using the same Internet connection (behind one router) are unable to log in to the same server at the same time. One can connect, and when the second one attempts to connect to the same server they get a red chain, then "No message received." Most times, the second player gets into the server, but the first times out completely. Sometimes the second player also times out upon logging in (and booting the first player).

Steps To Reproduce

Given two players on the same Internet connection, log one in to a server. Then have the second player view the friends tab on the in-game server browser and join the same server the first person joined via the friends tab in game.

Additional Information

This issue has cropped up sporadically for us since the DayZ ArmA 2 mod. We started playing two client updates ago, and it was sporadic (meaning we could sometimes connect to some servers at the same time). With the next-to-last client update it was fixed entirely (we were able to connect to any server at the same time), but with the last client update it broke completely (we are unable to connect to any server at the same time).

When the issue was sporadic, it didn't seem to be tied to certain servers; sometimes one server would work, then the next day the same server wouldn't let us both in at the same time.
