Game Randomly Crashes Every ~30 Minutes
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Every now and then, my game gets laggy, freezes sometimes. Well, I'm on XP with a shitty computer, so I can totally agree lag/freezes are normal things.

Problem is, every 30 minutes or so, my game will crash and I will get an error message that seems to be coming from the DAYZ .exe

------------

Error: Device reset failed, error 8876086c

I can then reopen DayZ and play for a while.

I assume this error message can tell someone what causes it, at least?

It looks like it also happens when I Alt-tab. I can never go back in game after alt-tabbing cause it crashes and I get the error message.

I tried running DayZ in window mode and can't even reach the menu without having this error message.

Additional Information

I'm probably playing DayZ on the lowest possible system. Here's my specs.

We are very sorry, but support for Windows XP is not planned. Please try to run the game only on Windows Vista SP2 or higher.
