Basically since the last few patches have came out the game now uses more internet than it did before, when I run a program called Speccy I can see i'm using 100KB/s while playing DayZ compared to 20KB/s which is what a game usually takes.
Now because I don't have very good internet this 100KB/s the game uses causes me really high ping and constant desync to the point where my friends disappear and I can't even play the game.
To reproduce: Simply try playing the game on a bad internet connection something ~100KB/s.
You will see your ping fluctuate as well as desync occurring.
This is not because im downloading something in the background cause it happens to my friends aswell, also before i boot the game im not using any internet then it instantly jumps to 100KB/s.
Note: It is currently happening in this game version but also occured in 0.30.113953, which for me was where it started.
