Going to ask the dumb question though but is your gamma turned up? this looks like a brightness and gamma turned up problem not a game one.

My gamma is turned all the way down, same as brightness

Boa, that is no use at all

It has something to do with the update, you need to opt out of the beta to play. to do this, Make sure DayZ is closed out and (in steam) Go to [Library -> Right Click "DayZ" -> Properties -> Beta -> Choose "Opt out of beta"]

Restart DayZ and try it again. Please note it *Might* reset your character, it reset mine but another guy on here was fine and it worked like normal.
