Mouse pointer animation
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I play using a TV monitor and recently I have changed my resolution to 1920x1080. I also changed my dpi to highest setting in order to be able to read text/see icons from a distance.

Launching DayZ after performing this operation I first noticed that the mouse pointer in the menu screen wasn't working, however I discovered that the mouse was still active as I hovered over menu buttons and they lit up accordingly. I could also click the mouse anywhere on the screen and the pointer would jump to that location, but stop following mouse movements immediately after. So there is a de-synchronization between the pointer animation and the actual mouse movement.

  • I have replicated this several times to make sure the increased dpi was the reason, in all instances it was
  • small/medium icon/text size settings do no affect the mouse this way, only the "high"

This may not be a very prevalent issue, but those who use TV screens as the main monitor may run into this.
