Starting a few days ago, I haven't been able to see my friend or any other players. We have tries a dozen or more servers, and we are absolutely positive we are in the same location on the map. I can sometimes see his body after he loads in, but I can't interact with it, and it never moves.

Seems We've fixed it!
Turns out the friend had stacked about 9 backpacks together, which caused the servers to choke and not correctly track any info. When my friend would join a server, I would be unable to interact with my inventory, hotbar, and I couldn't even open doors.
