Sometimes i cannot see anything on nighttime servers at all, although my grafik settings have not changend and it was all ok on the last server. Some parts are grey, the rest is completly black (view Screenshot).
If i am on a daytime server and it turns into a nighttime server this is not an issue, only if i join a server with nighttime already on.
This does not only happen to me, 3 of my friends have the same issues, with very different hardware.

Switching Gamma only makes the sky brighter, nearly everything below the horizon stays black. {F29509}
