If you use a double 30 Round Magazine and empty it you will always get a 60 rounds stack of 5.56 Ammo. By Stacking it manually you will never get a bigger one than 30. That way you can fit 600 Rounds into an ammo box and save a lot of space.

It should be one way or the other :-)
