I walked handcuffed off a pier in water deep enough to swim in. But I fell onto the sea floor and stood there for approx. 1 min. Then I revived the "You are dead"-screen. But when I exited the server and joined again I lived, swimming, and the handcuffs disappeared.
I also tried walking handcuffed directly into the water which freed me instantly. {F29393}
