Was looting an industrial building (like this: http://static.dayzdb.com/img/buildings/land_tovarna2.jpg) and when on the top walkway moved straight trough the railing as if it wasnt there (no resistance at all, didnt glitch through simply stepped through it). Fell ~8 m and died.

same thing happened to me from the catwalk of one of these buildings:

At the time I thought it might be desync or client-side prediction lagging/throwing me off the edge but it might be that part of the rail isn't solid?
