Performance from loot and zombies
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Since every loot and zombies are spawned in from the start, this causes the performance on the server on the server to suffer.
I have even read that you can have 1000 zombies when are the loot are spawned, but you can have 4000 zombies when loot is gone. This concluded that loot takes up a lot of performance.
1000 zombies divided on the map isnt much at all, its even less now when the map is getting expanded. its about 10 zombies per city.

In Dayz Mod the zombies spawned in when a player was close by, this was a give away since a player know if there are a player in the town and can therefore avoid them.
So why don't you just switch the item and zombies, zombies spawns at the start and loot spawns when a player is nearby, loot is so small that it wont be a give away for other players to find other players and the amount of zombies on the map can therefore quadruple.

A developed system as you have suggested above would be good. I would like to see no server restarts to replenish loot and zeds - loot and zeds spawns relative to vicinity of players would be way better.

johnkok, I know what you mean, but the problem with zeds spawning when players are in a close proximity doesnt work, since it is a give away where other players are. Example, if a player is att the airfield, the zeds there will spawn, if i would to come to the airfield aswell, i would see alot of zeds, therefore i know there are other players there at the airfield.
This is why zombies shouldnt spawn when players are close, however, loot is so small that you cant see from a distance, therefore loot could spawn when players are in proximity. This will unload some of the load on the performans, making it possible to spawn in more zombies or simply get a higher performance and less lag.

I can see how that is a problem - it was a great indicator on Dayz mod to show when someone was near. What if the zeds were set to spawn just slightly further than the view distance of the player? That way you would never know and maybe save a little on performance
