In order to the general perception of DayZ and therefore sales, I believe it would be a positive move to allow PvE in parallel to PvP. As Z numbers increase and gameplay mechanics expand there be sufficient challenge to sustain a PvE model;
┼ Separate PvE servers, with no player on player damage possible.
┼ Separate character for PvE servers.
┼ PvE and PvP characters can never mix.
┼ Harsher penalties from status effects during PvE.
