I guess it isn't a bug.. anyways. If I change my keysetting for scope-view to "hold second mouse button" it doesn't work - I always have to click to get into the view and click again to get back to normal view like it was in Arma 2. Some of my friend use the clicking method in other games too like BF3/BF4 so it isn't about quick scoping or anything - I just prefer to aim by holding my right mouse button.

Change Setting for Scope-View to "hold right mouse button"
I loved Arma 2 but I never really got used to the controlls. Now in DayZ with the new Jump animation I can bind some basic keys like in every other shooter; like SHIFT for sprinting(I know this was possible in Arma2 as well) or Space for jumping. These little things make the gameplay so much more smooth and fluid for me. Now the only thing missing is aiming by holding my right mouse button instead of clicking so please dear DEVS, is it possible to implement this into DayZ?
Event Timeline
This issue is not isolated. Currently, you can not rebind the mouse buttons to anything else accept what the default says, because they are hard coded. For example, I bind left click to move forward, and right click to fire weapon. First I unbound both buttons, then bound them to the functions I wanted. The problem is once they were 'bound', left click DOES move forward, however it still tries to fire whatever weapon you have readied as well... so with a melee weapon equiped, left click walks forward AND swings the weapon when you hold it down. Right click, which is SUPPOSED to be bound to fire, doesn't do ANYTHING (I bound look down sight to spacebar, and zoom in to the w key). I will link my original report, as it seemed to be the first one reported. The devs have refused to even acknowledge the issue despite MULTIPLE reports of similar issues both here and on the troubleshooting thread in the DayZ forum.

Go ahead and upvote it, as the issue you are describing is the same issue.
Also, there is some sort of disgruntled jerk running around this bug tracker down voting all issues related to this problem... I'm not sure WHY they'd be doing this, but they are. That's why you have a negative vote I think
Upvoted the other report Illiad. I didn't know that mouse buttons are hard coded so thanks for the info. I really hope they allow us to change them in future
Well they'd be silly not to fix it :P I'm just really surprised that with all the related reports, devs have not once acknowledged this as an issue.
I only know it's hard-coded because I've actually edited the profile file related to controls in notepad to assign the keys as a last ditch effort to fix the issue. Even then, it doesn't fix it. It's a problem in their coding.
