The same thing happened to me but with a person 2 times. They hit the ground and disappeared shortly after

Hate the thing after you kill a player, he just dissapears as soon as he hits respawn or quit button. More than annoying when you imagine you wasted your amunition on player that dissapears with his gear ...

Zombie disappearing is a feature for now until they sort out server performance.
