When the game launches it goes immediately to a black screen with the spinning blue circular mouse pointer and stays like that forever. Task manager says dayz.exe is not responding. It has to be terminated to regain control of the pc.

If I change the compatibility of the exe to WinXP SP3 then it will launch ok but then suffers from crashes in the video settings page. {F28871}
