In previous versions like 29.** (current version is 30.113860 when I wrote this report). My character simply stops when I want to jump, and just moves over something, usually it is usable when you want to step over like some small fence, wall etc. but when you run, it's possible to make your character to jump, but I cannot anymore after updates.
