Steps To Reproduce
  1. Start to bleed
  2. Bandage up your wounds
  3. Check your status with "tab" key, notice you are not sick
  4. Clean your wounds with alcohol
  5. Check your status with "tab" key, notice you are sick

Well it should kind of work the other way around, you get sick when hit by zombie and alcohol should prevent the sickness rather than creating it.

Just encountered the same situation. Although, i found Alcohol tincture and cleaned my wounds, without bleeding before, and got instantly sick.
[Edit, 30 mins after getting Sick status:] After jogging for a while, exploring and keeping myself well hydrated and fed, i took some vitamins too, and antibiotics, rested in a house and got a green message : My wounds are clean now. Not sick anymore.
It seems that this Sick process works as if your wounds needed time to get clean, suppressing the sickness.

Do you know if the alcohol was pristine condition?
Experienced this also but with ruined alcohol. Might be a feature.

[just some hear-say] I actually heard Sacriel state on his stream recently, that Rocket told him that when you get the sick status it's just the game revealing to you that you have been sick and are in the process of getting better now. In reality you have been sick all the time.

Well lingering on the topic that alcohol bottle is in damaged condition. To be honest this is a bigger topic overall that why some of the items have conditions when they should not have. Lets take example this alcohol bottle, if the bottle is broken, then it should be found empty. No other conditions should have any impact on the alcohol itself, since we all know that alcohol is a kind of substance that simply does not age unless the container is flawed and it slowly starts vaporizing away. So alcohol itself should be always in working condition unless the container is broken, same should go for the disinfectant spray since it is based on alcohol.

Not sure if this is solid information but perhaps the alcohol tincture required disinfecting before use?

Well alcohol itself has disinfecting qualities, at least in real life. So I personally would consider not this be the case, it might be since we don't know the backgrounds how the game exactly is functioning, but that's why we are here to discuss and help developers to notice things that they just have overshot.

I had probably been attacked by some odd 5-10 zombies over the course of my life without disinfecting wounds. After being knocked unconscious a couple times in my last two scrapes, I found a bottle of pristine alcohol tincture.

Proceeded to clean my wounds, and instantly get sick. I thought it was bugged at first but then thought about how my old wounds could very well have been festering because I hadn't paid attention to them all this time. Kinda makes sense.

However, it would be nice to be able to perform a "inspect your wounds" action separate from the alcohol tincture, to give you a sense of first aid priorities instead of just carrying on as usual...

Cleaning your wounds with alcohol always make you sick, even if you don't have any wounds. It's definitely bugged.

I got only hit 3 times by a zombie and bandaged me directly after that and then disinfected my wounds and took antibiotics. All immediatly after the zombie hitted me a few times.

The sickness didnt go for around 30minutes untill I got KoS

Has anyone actually gotten sick from a zombie hit yet? Perhaps if your wounds ARE itching then the alcohol works? Like infection's a simple boolean value that shouldn't change both ways but isn't properly implemented yet?

TEST: Use alcohol once. Wait for infection. Use alcohol again, see if infection cured.

It is as dev0 said:
Only after you used alcohol, charcoal or antibiotics will you know that you were sick all along. Because you know now you see the message.
Get your wounds clean and after that get fed up again since only now you can get your health back. Do this for a bit and you should see a message saying: Healthy (on your inventory screen)

The described situation is kind of retarded to be honest. You have been sick all along but you don't feel it before you take a medicine? Even if this scenario described is correct I don't think that's the expected behavior it is not logical...

Happens here too - after zom,bie hit using alcohol on the wounds I get sick. Though the wounds seem to get better after time.

Guys after using any chems this will make you a little bit sick ,
keep hydrated , water or cola it will go away

This is quite real , meds like atibiotics make you sick if no water substance is ingested to keep the body functioning ,after a cut or so infection thrive on dead skin cells and will break down the plasma in the body that have to fuel bloodcells in the fight of infection (Flesh wounds )

Im no doc , might have it a bit wrong but the idea is more or less the same area

Confirmed. The same happens when taking Tetracycline antibiotics.

Please dont drink it :)

[assumption] I thought about this a little bit and I believe the reason for it showing up as "Sick" in the inventory screen is due to the quick and dirty implementation of these status indicators just before Christmas. I'm pretty sure whatever causes the "You wound look cleaner now" status messages to pop up (according to several Day Z sources on the net these are "symptoms" of a declining infection) will also cause the "Sick" status in the inventory screen, although technically there never was a sickness.

medicine doesn't make you sick anymore and you can't clean your wounds either.
