About once an hour for about 5 to 10 minutes, you will be able to hear people in conversation, Usually one member very loudly and the others very faint. It fades in and out in a very jagged way. I'm assuming (but not sure) that the're using Direct chat. At first we thought that they were local to our vicinity, (how direct is supposed to work) but it became apparent that they were all over the map. For example we were located closed to the NE airfield and were listening to people discussing their location as Kamenka and Electro.

Just play Alpha, it's gonna happen and it'll make you run and hide till you figure they are nowhere close.
Additional Information
We were using skype at the time, Its happened to multiple players, as at one point the conversation we were over hearing was a guy talking about overhearing another conversation.
