I had a Mosin on my back and found a M4 lying on the ground. When I got near the M4 I pulled up my inventory by pressing TAB and clicked and dragged the Mosin out of my inventory to the vicinity part of the screen when I released the Mosin was there for a split second and then disappeared. This has also happened with ammo and clothes.
