No sound at all with USB headset (Razer Kraken 7.1)
I plug in my apple headphones and they work (via audio jack) but my £100 Razer Kraken does not. It works in every other game in my steam library. Please help

Open your system Volume controle while ingame, and see if there is any deflection from DayZ. Also make sure you have your ingame sound enabled

Have tried this, it's almost as if DayZ is not outputting anything (there are no green bars to signify sounds)

Strangest thing was, I played on launch night for several hours then I booted up next morning and it just didn't work

Since there is no output recheck your inagame settings, did you maybe set the volume to a lower level? Did you got the latest patch?

Both latest patches received and all volume settings maxed. My headset literally works in every other programme I have other than DayZ

The problem stems from there being no option under Audio to control your output. It defaults to your system default. If you system default is normal speakers but, you wear a headset (like me) for gaming then you are kinda screwed or hassled with having to continuously change your system settings. This should be a feature worth looking in to, as using a headset and a mic is key to talking to people within the game.
