Title should say it all. When you respawn, you can't select your gender, it lumps you with whatever you get.
As per the mod, you should be able to select your character gender on respawn.
And please ignore any stupid LGBT requests... for the purposes of this game it is not relevant.
Die or become unconcious and respawn.
Observe that you will not be given a choice to select gender

Yeap, I did choose the male character when I join the first time, after I died (unconcious) I spawned as a female whithout any posibility to choose.
I thought the settings for gender was not in the game, but in the main menu's customize option...
Doesn't matter, I created a male character. After being mauled by zombies I respawned and got a female character
