Description

Not really a lot to describe. Was starving, sick from rotten food, thirsty, and had just spent 25 minutes trying to knife an AFK bambi to death on the shores of Kamenka in the black of the night.

They returned to their desk, quite disorientated by what was going on. I proceeded to explain the situation, to which they replied a prompt "go fuck yourself" and continued to respawn.

I shrugged it off. Walked away back toward the main Kamenka town to my East, and BAM, got hit with a headshot of lag, totally froze for several seconds, then all seemed fine. Kept running, then BAM, game freezes, this time to not recover, and it crashed me to desktop.

  1. Eat rotten fruit.
  2. Stab AFK fresh spawns with a kitchen knife until waterfall.
  3. Run around.

Not sure if this helps, but I saved the crash log. My computer may be the culprit, but I've run DayZ ArmA Mod for a little over a year and a half with no problems, as well as BF4, ArmA 3, AC4: Black Flag etc.

PS. This game is amazing. You've out done yourself already, and I cannot wait for what's going to be added next. I have pro gear, and am exploring the Northern areas of the map. Just went through the train depot, and found a Press Vest. I smiled wide, realising that it could be used to lead trusting bambis astray. I shot two unsuspecting players who were rearranging their gear last night while near NWAF, and chased their unarmed mate, taunting him, from there to Devils Castle, where I managed to get a long range headshot with the Mosin + Scope.

PPS. You might be copping a lot of slack at the moment for the lack of guns, but I think people understand why you're doing it this way - need to keep newbies happy with the game by not overpowering the pros.

PPPS. I got shot out of nowhere last night, and the shock of the "YOU ARE DEAD" black screen almost made me cry.

I've also noticed my game crashing a lot recently since patch. Sometimes when you relog from a crash it seems you become "unplayable" I can't interact with items, nor use my own. Can't go in combat mode or anything.

Not sure yet how to replica this, but it's usually after I crash I get all sorts of errors.

Spawning in buildings and unresponsive character also(of course I can still move).

I too am crashing to desktop while trying to interact with any of the items in my inventory. Here is a crash report from the event viewer in Windows 7. It's made the game unplayable. I've reinstalled the game and patch as well as disabled all graphic settings.

Please let us know in note section if you are still able to reproduce this issue in latest Development build.

If so, please send us dxdiag and files from this folder: "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\"

Can you pack the files in winrar and upload it somewhere?
When the *.rar will be smaller than 2.097k, you can attach it here. Thank you.

After 20 hours or so of further game time, I have not had this problem again. I will close this, as I think it is out of date.
