In screenshot the door on the first floor is clearly accessible from the second to interact with. This interaction does work to open and close the door. Potentially to be used as an exploit for ambushes or scaring the shit out of someone.

This is duplicated very easily. If a second story floor is above a door, you can access it if pointing the indicator towards where the door is located.

Less investigative minds may not know its affecting the door below them.
