Cannot eat caned food, when right-clicked i am confronted with "...receiving"

Description

Everytime I try to eat a can of food, I right click the canned food and get a message that reads, "...receiving" in a small box where the word "eat" should be. I have tried waiting so I can "receive" but I have yet to eat canned food, however I can eat rice for some reason.

Great job by the way on pretty much everything, many great improvements but a little buggy at the moment. Great game still.

You know that you have to open cans with a can opener? Without you can only eat sardines.

Canned food must be opened with a can opener or other sharp item by combining the two in your inventory. WAI.
