In both the main menu and the in game inventory screen, the mouse cursor appears to be stationary. Menu buttons will highlight when the cursor is hovering over them, as it would normally, but the cursor either remains invisible or on its previous location until left clicking. Left clicking repeatedly as one moves the cursor around screen is the only way to actively figure out where the cursor is presently located.
Running the game in windowed mode will make the cursor act normally.
