@ZedsDeadBaby, please stop spamming 'duplicate'. You obviously have no idea what 'duplicate' means in programming bugfix issues. Just because it's about 'character reset', it doesn't mean it's the same issue for christ's sake.

Please post that it's a duplicate if and only when it is exactly the same issue caused by the same reason.

Character reset when joining a specific server, character reset when server crash, character reset for no apparent reason are three different issues with three different fixes for the devs.

It is true I don't know that all of the character reset issues are "duplicates" of one another, which is why I didn't use the word "duplicate," but rather said "some variation" of the problem.

I promise I know a thing or two about bug categorization and how helpful it can be to consider a set of similar issues together. Considering the level of detail in each report (mostly very little), it would be impossible for the developers to investigate each as a completely separate issue.

Perhaps there are one or more character deletion issues, perhaps not. In either case, it's helpful to know that the problem is impacting a wide variety of players who are all putting these issues in. Having them grouped together will be helpful for reviewers regardless of whether they turn out to be actual duplicates. By examining the different information in each issue, a developer can build a more complete picture of the issue or issues that they are facing.

Every single issue involves a reset upon log-in. So, no, they are not necessarily completely separate issues. Nobody, thus far, has reported a character reset mid-play (i.e., being kicked off or suddenly deleted). Everyone reports the same - character is fresh after logging in to a server - whether after a crash or otherwise.

If your report is correct and the culprit is certain servers which consistently reset your character, then it is quite likely other people's issues arise when they disconnect from one server and reconnect to one of the corrupt servers, thus deleting their character.

We have no way to know whether these are separate issues or not, so we just provide as much information as we can to the developers and let them take it from there, right?

You're concerns about "spam" seem somewhat overblown.

The bug happens quite a while and is pretty frustrating sometimes. I get this bug a lot and might be able to help on the issue.

You can log in normally the first time for me but once you change servers a few times your character gets deleted. Frustrating because some servers are stuck on wait for host and once I exit them and change my character is gone.

I have confirmed that waiting a while when changing servers or closing the application helps quite a lot.
