Have also had the issue of losing my character.

it seems that if after 'making' your new character (designing the skin tone, shirt color etc), if you do not click 'set default" (I think it is) you will have this issue. once you 'set' the character it will save properly.

Lost my character as well. Pretty upsetting because I was in a great location with plenty of gear. But still truckin'!

I keep getting this problem, it seems to be when you switch servers. Maybe the info don't get swapped between servers and it creates a new one?

I have set my default, so that is not the reason.

Happened to me as well. People were talking over direct chat, I was freezing intermittently and then crashed along with my friend simultaneously. My character was reset, his was not.

This has happened to me on several server resets/jumps in sever load. I usually only get reset if I swap to another server while the previous one resets/shows again on my server list.

Quite possibly a problem with servers communicating with each other and assuming you need a new character.

Whenever I swap servers without waiting for the previous one to appear on list I have ALWAYS been spawned fresh. (any other info to add please share).

I have lost my character several times now and I cannot understand why. Both times were after a server switch or two and I started with a fresh character. I hope this gets fixed soon since there is no point to playing if I am just going to lose all my gear everytime.

This have now become so bad, the game for me, has become unplayable. I always play on char for 3-4 hours, getting geared. When server goes down -> Wait a few minutes -> Change server -> Character is gone.
