Workshop "Updating" Up-to-Date mods
Assigned, WishlistPublic

Description

I recently moved my Arma 3 game from an SSD to HDD, as my SSD was running out of space. Things seemed to go smoothly for a couple days, until the Workshop started acting up. At first, a few campaigns I had download would not load ("cannot find mod folder directory" or something). Restarting Steam and redownloading the campaigns fixed that.

Now the Workshop is automatically updating ALL of my downloaded mods. None of these need updated, but it looks like the Workshop is going to re-download and overwrite all 21 GB of mods that I have downloaded. I have tried restarting Steam, canceling the downloads, and checking my mod storage folder (currently set to the base game directory). When I cancel the downloads, they immediately begin from where they left off, and nothing else seems to do anything. {F27995}

Additional Information

Mods I have recently downloaded include:
Green Draw Campaign
Deliverance
[SP-Campaign] M.E.R.C.S. - 1.03
The White Silk Of Thanatos

All are campaigns. Again, Workshop is downloading all 100 mods that I have subscribed to, and I can't seem to do anything about it.

Hello,

we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.

Are you running any mods? If so please try to disable them. Should the problem occur again, please export your game log files from the launcher (again, without any mod).

Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:

  1. Start ARMA 3 Launcher
  2. Click Options menu
  3. Drop down menu will appear
  4. Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
  5. A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file

Please note that it might take some time for files to collect.

Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.

Thank you

Yes, I'm running mods. The mods aren't causing an issue with the game itself, I believe it's the workshop. Again, it's re-downloading all 21 GB of workshop mods, even though they are already up-to-date and in the correct folder.

This may be a Steam/workshop issue, but I thought I'd check here first in case anyone has any info.

Hello,

unfortunately it might actually be the Steam/Workshop issue. We are currently checking out what the problem might be and what can be done on our side to prevent it.
