Aircraft Maintenance

Description

  • Towing vehicle/uav for aircraft or a New system integrated into aircraft.

(Jonzie Mega Mod Pack from steam workshop contains two trucks witch can tow several models of trailers. Without lags, bugs, glitches and damage. It allows me to guess that it is possible. New taxi system not uses it, witch is cool for real life and ArmA too)

  • Ability to fold rotors of helicopters and VTOL aircrafts (in the future). This feature adds more mobility to aircrafts and possible will make it easier to perform taxiing. It is also widely used by US military on the ground, in hangars and service buildings, this allows them to increase building capacity and simplify taxiing inside the building witch also requires less space;
  • AFM for everyone. RotorLib allows to use more features for Arma: taxiing and single engine failure;
  • FixedWingLib for airplanes;
  • FLIR broadcast into helmet (in GPS style) and some targeting interface for gunship guners.
  • Ability to transport ground vehicles inside heavy aircraft cargo space (Apex);

(RHS mod contains C-130 cargo plane witch has very simple system that don't requires any buttons to load and unload cargo and allows players to move inside flying airplane, it is very important to implement such a simple and useful feature)

  • Interaction system

I don't like to see how people just hop into combat helicopter pressing 2 buttons, going away, hovering and destroying everything. It's not way for arma.
Maybe that's because arma more difficult than bf, and people just finding the easiest way to kill something. Arma need some new laws of playing like in real, prices, damage, tools, that just a wall will be with the price, or players will not think about exits on the base, and I've tested it, it's true.
And then just a question for BIS leader: Why BIS created whole that content when players don't care about that. Maybe, one of my ideas, that if content will be little more difficult it will be more interesting, and we will not see stupid ways of playing on the battlefield, something that will separate players, and who don't understand all aspects and power of combat helicopter, will not fly on it, Not because they can't take it, because they can't fly and service it.

My idea of first step to more difficult aircrafts - it's an interaction menu, when players could see more functions and aspects of helicopter work, but it shouldn't be difficult, just menu, easy menu, but improved conversation with the vehicle, and we have guys who did some part of first step, ACE team, they did a good platform for that menu, maybe it can't include arma3 or 4, but then, I have an idea, and idea is - add these functions to standard arma menu, for example: when you aiming some part of vehicle, you'll see the functions of that part in standard arma menu, and the main thing: these functions should be folders, difficultness will be inside the folders, when you aiming engine you will see something like: "Engine", then you can choose it, and you will see something like that:

compressor
wires
intake
nozzle
cowl

then for example, you will choose wires, and you will see: > check wires.
When you will aim the wheels and you have the wheel chock in the backpack, you will see:

landing gear > wheels > check

                      > place a chock
             >  leg > check
                    > lights > check

And this menu can include some actions like: clean the lights of landing gear or blades of jet engine. Why only aircrafts? Because other vehicles less difficult than aircrafts, so you can use some of the features for any vehicles with more simple design.
That's my idea, it's maybe too difficult for some players, but then arma can prefer incredible infantry fight experience. That's my idea, and I believe in serious fun, just because we have BF4, and why we need second bf ?
I believe, player who want fly on aircraft, will figure that out in a few time. It's not just about realism or VBS, it's about giving arma some little bit difficult standards. The second step - Advanced Flight Model on all servers.
Arma will be much more civil, and will increase its term for a player.

  • Ability to turn off brakes and get out (brakes shouldn't turn on)
  • Remove stopping of fuel leak if fuel tank is damaged and you getting out
  • Ability to pull light helicopters (simple way to make a taxi for Hummingbirds)
  • New displays for all aircrafts with folder of maintence in menu - Avionics
  • Eurocoper Tiger for AAF faction (why? Because it's a perfect combat helicopter for AAF)
  • Stealth copabilities and radar jamming (touches AH-99 and AWACS systems)
  • Normal engine start process, ability to use rotor brake (perhaps, part of the way to the new difficulty standard)
  • Realistic damage capabilities (no tip over explosion, fire in flight and ability to destroy or cut some parts of an aircraft in flight by gunfire/collision (wings, helicopter tails, fins))
  • Air flow (wind) can move aircraft on the ground (possibly, wind from vehicles also. Example: C-17 vs MH-6)

If you guys looking forward. By 2035 year new taxi system will be implemented in all large US military airplanes.

It's idea is simple - electric engine that rotate wheels and powered by APU. Some of smaller types will use this system as well.

In ArmA 3 this system will allow players to move an airplane backward witch may be useful in jungle airports, and also will provide ability to place aircraft under cover, it is useful for jets and helicopters as well. Larger airplanes such as one of highlighted in the video (Apex), could move on the ground without collisions because of it's size. It is useful system and should be implemented in Arma.

I'm not sure, probably you have no free personal to lead such sort of project. So, I can use some sketches and 3d models to play around this system and try to present you something special (for free) (not a pro in codding).

I don't mind if you will make it public ticket/place on forum.

Thank you!
