Description

I got a new laptop on Wednesday and have been having some serious issues running Arma, my other games run fine, but Arma doesn't.

I have rolled back my drivers to a version that works for Vanilla Arma now and again, but only if I install Direct X each time from the Arma folder. I've set my NVIDIA Control Panel to use the NVIDIA graphics card for Arma, which helped a bit but I still get the errors.

Graphics Card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M with 4GB dedicated VRAM.
16 GB RAM
Windows 10 (free update with the laptop from Windows 8)
Intel i5

Most of the time when I try to run Arma with mods and when I try to run vanilla Arma I get the following errors and the game crashes;
Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 361.43 stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 352.43 stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
^^^^Basically get the above error with every driver I've tried.

Hello,

we are sorry for the trouble you are having with the game.

Please try to run the launcher with a -nohwa parameter.

You may encounter issues after upgrading to Windows 10 from another version of Windows. Doing a fully clean install of Windows 10 (or upgrade with loss of data - carefully back-up first please!) can resolve such issues. Some issues can be resolved by repairing common libraries after the upgrade.

Hi,

I was able to get to the main menu now, but when I tried to load the campaign and any of the showcases the game would crash and the following error would appear (for all the drivers I tried).

Hello,

we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.

Are you running any mods? If so please try to disable them. Should the problem occur again, please export your game log files from the launcher (again, without any mod).

Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:

  1. Start ARMA 3 Launcher
  2. Click Options menu
  3. Drop down menu will appear
  4. Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
  5. A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file

Please note that it might take some time for files to collect.

Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.
